-Letters were sent home about Pike Lake and what each grade 8 student will be choosing to do on that day--please have these signed and back by Wednesday (I am also emailing them home so you can send it electronically if you wish)
- End of year writing conventions assessments were sent returned and sent home today--on the assessment, it indicates if students are beginning, meeting or exceeding grade 8 expectations in terms of conventions. Please review this with your son or daughter. As we finish up our school year, we will spend some time reviewing areas of need in order to prepare students for high school

Thursday News
- We are going to Move N Soar for our aerial fitness class tomorrow--some permission forms still need to be returned. We will be leaving at 1:30 to walk to Market Mall, where the studio is located, and returning to school by 3:30.
- Please bring your $12 for farewell ASAP

-Speeches for farewell must be in to me by Monday
-Frankfurter Finale forms due tomorrow-please support the Friends of Brevoort Park!
Tomorrow is the cut off for all assignments that are overdue. Please get these in and check with me if you wish to know if your son or daughter has everything done!

Reminders
-An important note went home with each student about farewell today or yesterday-please bring the required $12 ASAP.
- Pike Lake notes sent home today-June 26th is also orientation morning at Walter Murray-students received a note about this last week--it is up to parents to decide which event students will attend, and parents are welcome to drive students to Pike Lake after the orientation finishes. If students are not going to Pike Lake, we will have an alternate activity planned for them back at the school. Parents will need to call if students will not be in attendance, as this is still a school day.

-Math test tomorrow on probability
-Visual art is now overdue and Mrs. Chatman will have made phone calls home if work is not complete
-Project business reflections are overdue and need to be handed in ASAP
-Fabulous Frankfurter Finale forms went home and are due Friday, June 13th. This event is being held on June 20th.

Reminders
Lots going on this week!
- Project Business tomorrow and Thursday from 11:45-1:30--we spoke today about what students needed to bring and have ready--including signage, their price list, ingredients list, float, cash box, etc. Please email if you have any questions. Parents and family members are welcome to come and support this project.
- Move N Soar permission forms are due June 9th--please get them in ASAP
- Keep the farewell pictures coming--don't have them from everyone quite yet!
- Math 10.3 probability is due tomorrow
- Track practice tomorrow for high jump, long jump and throws at 8:20
- Visual arts dances due Friday, June 6th

Brevoort Park 50th Birthday Invitation
Please join us in celebrating Brevoort Park’s 50th Birthday on Friday, May 30th. The assembly will start at 2 p.m. The BBQ and other activities will be from 5-7 p.m.
If you have an extra 30 minutes, we are still in need of volunteers for things like cooking, clean-up of the BBQ, selling burgers, and cake servers. Please call the office at 306-683-7110 if you can help us with any of these things. We can’t wait to see you there!
